It includes a range of configurable variables to define the SiteMap type and content and can be run as an online form for Static SiteMaps or to create real time Dynamic SiteMaps that can be directly called. It is designed for ease of use, with the ability to define the desired site map type, content and settings. SiteMap XML is best suited to medium size sites of up to 5000 pages. Google is currently using XML site maps to assist the indexing process. Yahoo accept RSS site maps, HTML site maps provide human readable links which can also be indexed by a range of search engines, Text site maps are an alternative site map format accepted by some search engines. Site maps are designed to improve search engine indexing of web sites. Key Features include: Google XML, RSS XML, HTML and Text formats. Capacity to display Date Last Modified (lastmod). Processes relative url links. Encodes link urls to meet XML UTF-8 requirements. Configuration variables can be set using form values or default values set in the script.
